The What + Why Behind The Daily Detox

Detox has become an exciting buzz word on the internet and strong highlight within wellness communities, but what does it really mean? The industry is laden with hundreds of “diets” and short-term solutions out there to sort through, so I will shed some light on what it really means to detoxify your body, rejuvenate your cells, and what to look for when choosing your own path.

The most important thing is this: Detoxification is not a diet. The process of detoxing is not a short-term, quick process. While I would love to show you some 3-day reset magic, that is not what this is. It is not enough to quickly and briefly take all the “bad stuff” out, especially if you aren’t constantly and consistently putting “good stuff” in! In our Western lifestyle, toxins are all around us; they are in our homes, in our water, in the air we breathe… once I accepted this, it was easy to understand that full-body detoxification cannot be achieved in a mere 3, 5, or 7 days, but that it instead has to be a learned, ongoing process.

After my first visit to a wellness clinic, after receiving a cancer diagnosis at the start of my healing journey, I knew it would be my mission to tell people what I learned: We have far more control over our health than we have ever been let to believe. I envisioned a space for a community; rather than scouring the internet or probing Dr. Google for answers, I would create a platform that offers direct access to the important questions about detoxification, how to start, and how to seamlessly weave it into your life. I wanted to share sustainable, detoxifying practices that will change the trajectory of people’s health, as it did mine when I personally healed not just thyroid cancer, but also improved my skin quality, energy, sleep, mood, and overall vitality.

The Daily Detox, was born through my call to share everything I have learned, first and foremost, about autophagy: the process of removing damaged cells from the body to make room for new, healthy, vibrant ones.  The program hinges on scientifically proven ways to support your immune system using systems of deep nourishment. Rather than promoting a restrictive diet, shakes, and powdered smoothies, The Daily Detox is based on using food as your medicine, and the only miracle elixir we promote is organic, cold-pressed juice and lots of plants.

There was a time, when I was in the deep throws of my own journey, I felt like healing, and detoxifying, and rejuvenating, had all but taken over my life. Through over a year of struggle, I finally worked out a way to maintain my detoxing protocols, while also thriving as a business owner, a wife, and a mother. This experience was my motivation in molding The Daily Detox into a week-by-week course; I feel it is important to present the information and introduce new methods in a way that can be applied to everyone, and seamlessly woven into regular, busy lives. Throughout the program’s length, I gently introduce new practices so that each one can be fully appreciated, wholly understood, harmoniously fused into your daily routine, helping you to find the balance I now enjoy.

If there is one thing I have learned in my healing journey, it is that detoxification is not a destination; it is a state of being, a mode of living, a way of thinking, and an emotional, spiritual choice. I created and now share The Daily Detox with the world so that people know this pathway is an option for them! You do not have to, and should not, wait until you feel sick or have an illness to breathe life into your mind and body once again. I am so proud of the growing community of Daily Detox Members and it bring me such joy to teach you the simple practices of my healing journey so that they may serve you in yours.
